I feel duped... they sure know how to tick off their loyal fragrance fan base. Missed opportunity here for sure, very frustrating. As always, thanks for the honest review, Kent. As I reside in Canada, I still have days to wait to receive my package of disappointment. 😢
What really stinks is that they made a Tea Petal Poundcake hand soap two years ago that was spot on to the candle so they know how to reproduce the scent in soap form. They just chose not to do it.

Goose Creek!!!! If you are listening, PLEASE hire, contract, or get as a consultant, WHATEVER you have to do to get Kent to create with you "Pink Petal Teacake" body care!! And since you have him, might as do a "Lavender Marshmallow" body care too! We promise you, it will be a great thing for all, and a complete success!!!
What is up with Bath an Body Works????? I needed Pink Petal Teacake in my life and this was just a very bad joke!!! I also need your graphics!!! WOW that looks AMAZING!!!!!
I share the same frustrations with Sweater Weather! I don’t mind the body care version, but I hated the fact that they came out with the same name of a classic Fall/Winter B&BW fragrance in body care but with a completely different scent profile than what it always has been.
How dare they call it something so close to Pink Petal Tea Cake, like “Sweet Petal Pound Cake” and yet it not be! And online exclusive as well. Now how could they even give us the true PPTC scent in body care with such a similar name? They could call it Rosewater Tea Cake or Rose Meringue Tea Cake. I love your idea to have both PPTC and Lavender Marshmallow as body care scents. Some other BBW scents I’d love to have in body care include London Tea & Lemon, Paris Cafe (yes, I need a stronger true coffee body care scent), Blueberry Pie, Key Lime Pie, Pineapple Pound Cake, and Banana Nutmeg Bread Pudding (they could call it Banana Bread).
You are such an amazing reviewer I just love watching and hearing about what you smell and the product and all of that!!! I actually think the packaging is beautiful but can you imagine pink petal tea cake in the body care oh my goodness that would be amazing!!! That would be great for Mother's Day or for Valentine's Day but anyways disappointment it's not pink petal tea cake! But once again thank you so much for your reviews So appreciated and they're so enjoyable
I'm so glad I waited for your review. I was hoping Sweet Petal Pound Cake would be more of a rose and vanilla bakery fragrance. You are so good at what you do. You even design labels waiting for a fragrance! BTW, I created a Goose Creek wish list pending your post/mid burn reviews. I won't buy a candle without checking with you first. Been burnt too many times by dishonest reviewers who lie for PR. I always know you'll present pros and cons honestly so we can find candles we love. Your work is very much appreciated!

Thanks for the review! I’m not into the BBW bodycare at all.. but still feel the disappointment lol. I don’t know what BBW has become the last few years but I’m not impressed. Those ice cream candles we all freaked out about last week aren’t even good either.
The fact that this is not Pink Petal Tea Cake is very disappointing. I waited for the reviews before ordering & I decided to get the lemon set only.
What I’ve learned abt those online exclusives, they are either weak or the name doesn’t match the scent.

I buy multiple candles every time they’re on sale so I have a stockpile and I want my body to smell like them

You nailed it 💯 they like to repeat similar scents. I guess maybe do less launches a year, but focus on creating more unique scents, instead of dupes and repackaged old stuff.

Thanks for your description! I have the mist. I like the rose note on this one but was super disappointed that it was not pink petal teacake! I too get a sugary rose and not much else. It's also very light so half the time I can't really pick up on the notes! I won't be picking up anything else in this scent. Have a good one!😊
I agree... I was very disappointed by the scent. However the iced lemon # cake body care smells just like the candle!
Sounds like I'll be layering some Vanilla with this. I've been looking for a rose scent like what you describe Rose Water & Meringue to be.
My shipment came yday and i realy wanted this to be pink petal teacake since its 1 of the best candles ever. I was sad it wasnt and yea the names are so similar so i definitely was hopeful. I do really ike the fragrance though, its light so far but i do really like the scent ,not a bad scent at all,so thats a plus😂. Just wish it was PPTC 😔

I haven’t even received mine yet but based off this video , I already am considering returning it. Lol. I already have whipped rose latte, so the fact that this is a money grabbing tactic is a bit upsetting…. Especially considering the economy 😑. I MIGHT give it a try … 🤷🏽♀️
And more bad news..... The mist is UNSCENTED! I sprayed it and it literally melted into the air. I couldn't smell it enough to even give my opinion. 😭
I'm here for the new scents Bath and Body Works offer however this slight tweaking of a fragrance, slap on a new name and call it a day is Bullsh@t! Love Rosewater Meringue - thanks Kent!!
Hey Kent, Did you get the Rosewood & Smoke Cologne Mist, if you haven't, can you get it? I would like to hear your Review on that Baby, I did get it, & Sprayed it on me before I went to the Dealership Yesterday to get my car inspected, & I got so many compliments , when they came back in from getting the miles on my Car they ask what was that Beautiful smell in my car, they Really wanted to know the name, and insisted I tell them so they could get it. It really does smell So Good. So I have to say not all Bbw online Exclusives are Bad as a Reviewer stated. So would love to hear your thoughts on this. 🤔

The fact thats it's not pink petal tea cake sucks but the fact that it's not even pound cake at all is really bullshit. They have these hugely popular hyped scents in strawberry pound cake and iced lemon pound cake and they finally decide to add a third to the pound cake collection and they go with raspberry and rose with no cake note whatsoever. Wtf!?
They need to add on to the cake line with actual cake scents. People would love it.. I don't understand why they never ever ever listen to their fanbase. It's so odd.

They should've called it petal bundt cake its not sweet. They know if they made the hand soap 🧼 they can just go on and make Pink Petal Teacake body care......They play too much 🤨

Yea they did us dirty with this one 🫤mine came yesterday and was a bit mad but the iced lemon 🍋 is really good but it don’t last long sadly
